The official rules of the “IoTcare Challenge” contest for the APIBQ 2025 Conference

1. ORGANIZER.

The “IoTcare Challenge” contest (hereinafter the ‘Contest’) is organized by RIOH Inc. (hereinafter the “Organizer”).

2. DURATION OF THE CONTEST.

The Contest will take place from October 9, 2025, to October 10, 2025, as part of the APIBQ Conference.
It will end when the conference closes on October 15, 2025.

3. CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION.

Participation is free, and no purchase is required.

The Contest is open exclusively to participants and exhibitors present at the APIBQ Conference, aged 18 and over.

The following are not eligible to participate: employees of RIOH Inc., as well as their immediate family members.

To be eligible, each participant must:

  • Download the IoTcare mobile application.
  • Find the three (3) geolocation tags hidden within the conference building using the application.
  • Take a photo of each of the three tags (or of the objects associated with the tags).
  • Scan the provided QR code, access the entry form, and provide: first name, last name, email address, and employer’s name.
  • Attach the three photos and submit the form.

Any incomplete, illegible, or non-compliant entry will be disqualified. The entry form will close on October 10, 2025, at midnight.

4. PRIZE.

The following prizes are offered as part of the Contest:

  • One (1) gift card valued at CAD $250, valid for accommodation, dining, and spa services within the Ôrigine Artisans Hôteliers network, which includes establishments across 15 regions of Quebec.
  • Ten (10) Bluetooth trackers with Apple Find My functionality, each accompanied by accessories (protective case, keychain, and lanyard). These prizes, with an approximate value of CAD $10 each, will be awarded to the first ten people who visit the RIOH Inc. booth after downloading the IoTcare application and presenting the required photos.

The total estimated value of the prizes is approximately CAD $350.
Prizes are neither exchangeable, transferable, nor redeemable for cash.

5. RANDOM RAW.
A random draw will be held among all eligible entries. The draw will take place on October 15, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. The prize awarded in the draw is the gift card mentioned above. The winner will be contacted by email within 48 hours following the draw. If the winner does not claim their prize within 7 days, a new draw may be held.
6. LIABILITY.

The Organizer assumes no responsibility in the event of:

  • technical, computer, or connection issues preventing participation;
  • errors or omissions in advertising materials or in the official rules;
  • delays, loss, or incorrect transmission of electronic communications.

The Organizer reserves the right to substitute a prize with one of equivalent value if necessary.

7. PERSONAL INFORMATION.
The personal information collected (first name, last name, email address, employer) will be used solely:
  • for the administration of the Contest;
  • to communicate information about RIOH Inc. solutions.
This information will never be sold or shared with third parties and will be handled in accordance with the Quebec Act respecting the protection of personal information.
8. APPLICABLE LAWS.

The Contest is subject to the laws in force in the province of Quebec.

9. LEGAL NOTICES.

This advertising contest is organized by RIOH Inc., in accordance with applicable laws in Quebec.
Since October 27, 2023, advertising contests are no longer subject to authorization or declaration to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux.

Participation is free and there is no purchase necessary.
Personal information collected is used solely for the purposes of the Contest and in accordance with applicable regulations.
