For the fourth consecutive year, RIOH had the pleasure of participating in the annual conference of the Association of Physicists and Biomedical Engineers of Quebec (APIBQ), a flagship event that brings together the leading players in Quebec’s biomedical engineering field. This must-attend gathering fosters exchange, knowledge sharing, and collaboration within a community committed to the continuous improvement of healthcare technologies.

An interactive experience with the IoTcare Challenge
ChatGPT a dit :
This year, RIOH returned with a new immersive experience: the IoTcare Challenge.
Through this interactive game, participants had the opportunity to explore our IoTcare mobile application — a medical equipment geolocation solution developed by our team. The concept was simple: find three hidden geolocation beacons placed around the conference area, near the booths of our partners BBraun, CIM Conseil, and Octopus.
Using the app, players could follow BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) and UWB (Ultra-Wideband) signals to experience firsthand the accuracy and simplicity of our technology.
Héloïse Warin and Timothé Blouin, two participants in the contest, each won a Bluetooth tracker compatible with Apple Find My.
Congratulations to Catherine Tremblay from IUCPQ, the grand winner of the IoTcare Challenge 2025!
She takes home a $250 CAD gift card valid across the Ôrigine Artisans Hôteliers network, giving her the chance to enjoy a getaway, a fine meal, or a relaxing stay in over 15 regions of Quebec.
A big thank-you to all the participants who took part in the challenge, chatted with our team, and discovered IoTcare. Your curiosity, questions, and enthusiasm continue to inspire us to push boundaries!
And of course, thank you to the APIBQ team for their warm welcome and impeccable organization.
Engaging discussions on the challenges facing the healthcare sector
Beyond the game, the conference was also an opportunity to address real-world challenges faced by healthcare institutions, including the lending, loss, and theft of medical equipment.
These discussions directly fuel our thinking and ongoing developments. With IoTcare and the continuous work of our R&D team, we remain committed to our mission:

New website, same mission
The 2025 edition also marked the launch of our brand-new website, a redesigned showcase to better present our solutions, partnerships, and projects. We invite you to explore it today!
Looking back on our 2024 participation
Our third participation at APIBQ was already marked by inspiring encounters and constructive discussions.
On that occasion, Dan Rousseau, co-founder of RIOH, shared his perspective (French only) on the importance of the conference:
